The award-winning City of Lynchburg Department of Parks and Recreation offers so much: 17 parks, with organized and open areas for recreation, picnicking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, and children’s play, over 40 miles of trails that wind through Lynchburg, & 9 recreation centers, which support planned group programs, birthdays, baby showers, community meetings, and more! They offer classes and programs year-round including camps for basketball, soccer, tennis, and more.
Girls on the Run offers a unique program focused on building social, emotional and physical skills for girls in grades 3-8.
For 30 years, Lynchburg Road Runners has been promoting fitness through competitive races and fun runs. Membership is open to all ages and abilities. Our club is a proud member of the Road Runners Club of America.
Riverside Runners is a specialty running and walking store dedicated to products that excite people about movement, community, and healthy living as well as expert advice about training.
