The award-winning City of Lynchburg Department of Parks and Recreation offers so much: 17 parks, with organized and open areas for recreation, picnicking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, and children’s play, over 40 miles of trails that wind through Lynchburg, & 9 recreation centers, which support planned group programs, birthdays, baby showers, community meetings, and more! They offer classes and programs year-round including camps for basketball, soccer, tennis, and more.
Dire Wolf is a USA Cycling Club/Team focused on events in Virginia, D.C and North Carolina with members racing in Mens, Womens and Junior categories of Road, Mountain and Cyclocross races.
GLOC is a club that invites you to get hooked up with other riders in the Lynchburg area, be involved with trail improvements and maintenance, as well as social events, group rides, community outreach and lots more!
LAB (Lynchburg Area Bikers) youth mountain biking is an outreach program of Greater Lynchburg Off-road Cycling. LAB works to get more kids (ages 9 and up) out on the trails. The team competes in the NICA and the VAHS race series.
